![]() He didn't apprehend these "thieves." He said in the description that he compensated the successful package "thieves" with money for their troubles. They were friends of the acquaintances that he informed. ![]() Actually, the people who "stole" the packages weren't people he informed. I think Rober's rationale was that he didn't want to get into legal troubles, so he informed some acquaintances to "steal" the packages from his house. FYI, this video was staged, but the technology works. Regarding package thefts(criminals will sometimes go to your porch and steal stuff), you might want to check out this video by a former NASA engineer, who tried to deter would-be package thieves. I think he saw me and I backed away from the door and deep into my home. He had no packages and he stared at the scope. I was not expecting anyone and did not receive any messages that there would be guests. I looked out the small scope(like a small telescope where you can see the person from the other side of the door) and saw a person that was very suspicious. I remember in my neighborhood there was an alert that a thief was going around trying to unlock doors so they could steal stuff. Unfortunately, thieves caught on and realized they could use this to their advantage. Sometimes old people would leave doors open(so they could get assistance from their caregivers). I can also confirm there are suspicious and possibly opportunists that will use every chance they have to hurt someone or to rob someone.
